Abstract Submission

The IKS2009 Scientific Programme Committee will accept abstracts dealing with all aspects of the kallikrein-related peptidase family and its members. It is expected that abstracts include original data that were not previously published in a peer-review journal or proceedings of an international meeting. Please understand that only one abstract per registered presenting author can be processed.

Abstract must be submitted by email until July 13, 2009 (see below). If you have not received an email confirmation within 10 days after submission please contact the IKS2009 Office (office@IKS2009.de). Withdrawals of abstracts must be received in writing before July 13, 2009, abstracts cannot be withdrawn after this deadline.

Authors of abstracts selected for oral presentation will be notified not later than July 31, 2009. Abstracts not selected for an oral presentation should be presented as a poster.

Abstracts will be published in a hard-copy volume to be distributed at the meeting if the presenting author is registered for the meeting by July 13, 2009. In addition, abstracts will be made available in PDF format on the IKS2009 homepage.

Authors of selected abstracts will be invited to publish their contribution in a Highlight Issue of Biological Chemistry. If you are interested to submit a full research paper, a short communication, a review or a mini-review on the topic of your presentation please contact one of the Biol. Chem. Editoral Board Members (Prof. Hans Fritz, fritz@med.uni-muenchen.de, or Prof. Christian Sommerhoff, sommerhoff@med.uni-muenchen.de). In a Guest Editorial the issue will be dedicated to the awardees of the Gold Medal and Promotion Prize of the E. K. Frey - E. Werle Foundation of the Henning L. Voigt Family. Deadline for submission of manuscripts is October 1st, 2009.

 

Abstract preparation

  1. Download the Abstract Submission Form (IKS2009_Abstract.doc or IKS2009_Abstract.rtf).
  2. Prepare your abstract according to the guidelines attached to the Abstract Submission Form. Save your abstract file using the presenter's last name plus initial as the file name (e.g. "doe-j.doc" or "doe-j.rtf").
  3. Submit this file as an email attachment to the IKS2009 Office. If possible submit a pdf-file generated from your abstract as well.
  4. In the email please state if you are applying for one of the Young Investigator Awards (age 35 and below).

Deadline for abstract submission is July 13, 2009!

Abstracts will be printed electronically as submitted, except in certain cases where changes may be made to comply with the IKS2009 style. Please adhere to the abstract submission form and guidelines!
